Customer Response

Airborne just another hyped up scam
I broke down today and purchased two little individual "Airborne Effervescent Heath Formula" tablets. I was desperate. I'm going away for the holiday, driving several hours and I feel a cold coming on. But when I sat down and started to read the ingredients, I stopped. Then I threw them in the garbage and popped a Cold-eeze.

Just like when this product first came out and everyone said it was SO amazing, I backed away. I'm not so concerned about the Vitamin C.. Yes, it's a high dose and I certainly wouldn't eat three of these tablets a day. The high dose of vitamin C would give me stomach problems, I know that much. What REALLY concerns me is when I don't know WHAT the ingredients are? Such as "chinese vitex", "isatis", "lonicera",..and so on. I don't have the time to go look up each of these ingredients and find out what they are, what they do, if they are safe/how they interact with other medications, etc etc. The bottom line is: This product has not been evaluated by the FDA. No true studies have been done to prove it's safety OR effectiveness as a cold-killer. ..And herbal remedies can interact poorly with other meds. Can even be dangerous in some cases.

The Only thing I have ever used that shortened the length and severity of my colds is a product called COLD-EEZE. If you eat two a day when you first start to get sick, there is a decent chance it will help you. It's not a cure-all. And they taste disgusting. But they do usually help me. (About 75% of the time?) Another thing that can assist with boosting your immune system is something called Naked Juice. It's 100% juice, with lots of naturally occurring vitamins/minerals. Not all are tasty. But there are many to choose from. I think it's a bit more beneficial then drinking plain ol' orange juice...though OJ will never go out of style!

Airborne works GREAT!
What a great product...I have been using it since it first came out and I find that is does work! What was even better for the purchase of this product was to find a great deal at Amazon, which was 3 for $10..I then ordered enough quantity to get it shipped free and I also didn't have to pay 7.75% state tax!

Better taste, works great
Much better taste than the orange flavor. I have been using this stuff off and on for almost a year now, and have not really gotten sick at all. With a new baby and two other kids in the house all getting colds and what not, that is really something.
The price is about one third what the stores here charge, the only problem is that Amazon no longer will ship grocery items to Alaska, so I can not get any more...

Very effective, but over-packaged
I cannot say enough about this product! If I use it aggressively when I've either been around sick people or feel something coming on, I've stayed well. I also find one tablet is a good energy lift for afternoon slumps.

The only complaint I have is the packaging. I wish the creator of this product would be more mindful of the environment -- especially since she's a school teacher and garbage pollutes the earth for children. The tubes are not recyclable in many areas of the country and the lids aren't recyclable anywhere.

And, each tube contain only 10 tablets. I'd like the company to make larger tubes AND offer refills. (If Necco can come in wax paper wrappers, these thick tablets can too.) NOTE: Yes, I've written to the company about this.

questionable on whether it works
i take this before flights and sometimes i get sick and sometimes i don't. i'll still keep trying it.
