It just got easier to clean your valuable decanters and thermos flasks with metallic mini pellets from Riedel. These tiny stainless steel pellets remove all dirt, residue, sediment and stains from inside the decanter. Just fill the vessel half way up with water, add the pellets, and swish it around for about two minutes. That???s it. When you???re done, carefully empty the contents into a mesh strainer, rinse the pellets, dry them, and use them again and again. Not for consumption.

Brilliant idea
These little beads make cleaning my decanter a breeze. They remove wine sediment easily.
I have used them in other vessels where scrubbing is difficult.

Worked great, removed old traces of wine from a Riedel decanter
If you own a decanter, specially a nicer one, you will appreciate the need for something (anything!) that will help you restore its original look. Decanting red wine will invariably leave behind some traces or residues that are nearly impossible to remove depending on the shape and style of your decanter. These beads will get the job done!! They are TINY, so keep in mind that using them is a bit tricky. Still, they get 5 stars for their ease of use, and their effectiveness. I am happy and pleased with the results.

Works very well!
After much brushing, soaking, and gnashing of teeth I was able to remove a hard water deposit from the bottom of a decanter with these little beads. I found a gentle up and down shaking motion as you swirl the beads around in water to be the most conducive to getting into a satisfying groove as you clean. Shwirling, if you will. OK, sorry. Anyway, very pleasantly surprised at their cleaning abilities.

Take care with managing these little guys. As others have stated in previous reviews, the beads want to get away from you as you are dumping, rinsing, funneling, etc. After losing three down the sink and into my garbage disposer, trying (and failing) with forceps and a magnet to remove them from my garbage disposer, and then thanking God they just slipped through the little holes in my disposer and right down the drain, I advise more caution than I exercised on my first go with these.

I do plan to try rice as another reviewer suggested, by the way, and these may find their way into the re-gift pile as tiny stainless beads may just be prone to mischief with a couple of clumsy-ish adults, a toddler, carpet, occasional cleaning while under the influence of mild hangover, etc. No regrets, though.

Overall, great product!

Great for tough-to-clean corners
Had tried everything to clean out some decorative oil and vinegar bottles - a decanter brush got most of it, but these beads were the key to getting the last of the oily gunk out of the bottom corners. It took a while, but with patience and a lot of "swishing" them around, the bottles finally came clean.

Solution to a household problem
What a wonderful solution to a household cleaning problem. I own a number of vintage decanters that I could not get clean. The beads did the trick. I plan on giving them as Christams gifts next year.
