Great Product - Best fly swatter ever!
This product is the greatest. Used to use it in my restaurant's kitchen to clear it of flies. A good technique improves effectiveness. I generally wait for the fly to land then start my swing from behind. As the fly takes off, follow through with your swing and zzzzaaaap!
- Very effective.
- Does not leave squished fly remains on walls and ceilings.
- Not suitable for young children, many teens, and some adults. There are some who are more drawn to shocking themselves and others than pest control.
- Works on mosquitos.
- Fit and finish is good for a relatively cheap plastic product.
- Overall quality is fair to good.
I have actually had many of these over the years and some last longer than others. Best if they only come in contact with the bugs. The more you hit the furniture, the quicker it will fall apart. My current zapper is going on four years of service. I keep it by my bedside. If I have to get up in the middle of the night to take care of a mosquito whining in my ear, the flash and crack of electricity meeting bug signaling success is strangely, almost disturbingly satisfying.
I highly recommend this product. Value is high. Great gift idea.
Not Bad
Not a bad product for larger bugs such as bees and flies, unfortunately I bought it for fruit flies and the slits are way too big, they fly right through them 7 times out of 10. Also since it only takes two AA batteries, it doesn't have quite enough power to give that satisfying zap sound.
Get one with C or D batteries!
These are nice, they make mosquitos POP when you zap them.
However, if you're one of those who likes to have fun when you kill bugs, get one with either C or D batteries. They carry MUCH more power and will kill things like Cockroaches which AA battery-powered swatters will not.
