Product does exactly as Advertised
I find this a great product. The larger ice cream holder allows for expansion as it incorporates air without overflowing and getting messy. I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars because there is always a frozen film along the sides and bottom that is impossible to get off without using a metal instrument, and I feel that would not be good for the canister. I keep the canister in the freezer except when it is in use and don't see that as a problem. The easiest thing to do is just put some yogurt, fruit and you have frozen yogurt in about 15 to 20 minutes.

I bought this so I would have a spare cannister that would always be ready to make extra batches of ice cream/yogurt.....I love my cuisinart ice cream maker! It's so easy!

Easy Home Made Ice Cream
We added this freezer bowl to the one that comes with the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker so that we would have two frozen bowls to allow us to rapidly make two flavors. Easy to use and much faster and cleaner when compared to the traditional ice cream maker that uses ice and rock salt. We highly recommend this product.

Spare Bowl for the busy summer ice cream season
I ordered this spare bowl to keep as a back up, for the times that we forget to put the main bowl back in the freezer. We like to keep the bowl frozen for a least 24 hours. We have tried for 6-8 hours and found that it was not enough to make the ice cream thick. So now we have two bowls, and there will always be one ready in the freezer for when we need to make a batch last minute. Great product, same exact bowl as the stock bowl that comes with the ice cream maker.

Where's the ice cream?
This Cuisinart ice cream maker sounded too good to be true. Unfortunately, even though I followed the directions precisely, what I got was not ice cream...not even close. It never thickened. It tasted good (we drank it), but it was not what I wanted. I would like to know if I did something wrong, but as I said, I followed directions.
