Customer Response
pretty good
Some meals take a little longer than I would have expected, and so I have to be patient. But in the end, its pretty easy clean up and pretty simple meals. We've tried a few meals in the book already, and were definately pleased.
I was dissapointed that it didn't come with the drip tray (and you need it)so I had to improvise.
The previous GF grill I owed came with one, but the box didn't say it came with it.So I guess I can't complain, it came with so many grills!
I love this grill!
I love this grill! I had the original one for many years and loved it too, but frankly it was just too small for major grilling, and it was a pain to clean. I've had this one now for about two weeks, and it is fantastic! I can cook as many as four burgers at a time, eggs, bacon, etc. The temperature control allows for a lot more flexibility and variety in your recipes. I made waffles for the first time ever, and they turned out perfect. A few tips on that: use cooking spray on both grills, and do them for 6 minutes on high. If you want to add a little flavor, mix into the batter 1/4 cup of your favorite jelly, jam, syrup, or mashed fruit. Cleanup couldn't be easier! Just pop off the plates (after cooling of course) and toss 'em in the dishwasher! Love it!
Amazing Machine!
This GFG is amazing. I use it almost everyday and usually more than once a day. It is extremely easy to use. Does a fabulous job on everything. I have grilled everything from veggies, all types of meat and fish, pizza and even baked brownies. EVERYTHING tastes better! The amount of fat that comes out of even very lean meat is incredible! The different grill surfaces it comes with make it extremely versatile. It is so easy to clean as well. I really can't say enough about this George Foreman Grill. My advice is to make your life easier and better and do your taste buds a favor and purchase this machine.
Also, my boyfriend thought this was going to be some kind of gimmiky or hokey item - well - he uses it as much or more than me. Waffles for breakfast everyday and they are yummy! Usually does ham or sausage on this side to go with the waffles.

Love it despite it's flaws!
My husband bought this for me a few months ago. I haven't tried all the plates, just the omelet, the basic grilling, and the waffle plates. My complaints are that the plates seem to take a really long time to cool, when using the omelet ones the eggs tend to puff up and sometimes overflow, then they de-puff when cool enough to eat and your left with a limp flat omelet...maybe they work better for biscuits, I don't know.
Also, they seem to have changed the pattern of the basic grilling plates from the straight grill lines on both plates. Now, the bottom plate has the straight vertical lines, and the top has a more complicated pattern that is better for heat distribution, but is really difficult to clean. Also, Fish is REALLY difficult to cook...even on low it overcooks quite easily, although, I usually overcook fish anyway, so maybe it is just me!
The cooking surface is not quite big enough for a family of 4 good eaters. It is sometimes challenging to cook for my husband, myself, and 2 toddlers who usually share a portion on it, so I think it would be perfect for 2 people, and okay for 3...you could probably squeeze 2 big steaks on there, but not even 3 decent sized ones. Also, if you overcook the meat any, it is really bad...it creates a hard thin layer and the grill marks and area surrounding usually end up the consistency of jerky.
The biggest flaw is that whatever you cook has to be the same size and as have an even surface, or the top plate will not touch the thinner portions, leading to undercooked meat and no grill marks on those pieces. So drumsticks, for example, or cooking meat and veggies together, is a bit hard to accomplish.
Waffle plates are awesome. No complaints there, and my kids LOVE having waffle mornings.
I eventually learned all these things (and ruined a few dinners in the process), but now that I have learned to use it, believe it or not, I do really like it. It is a really healthy way to cook, and you can still 'grill' if it is raining or smoldering hot outside, and with no carcinogens as well...although, there is the Teflon, so who knows how much healthier it really is!
The perfect indoors grill.
I have been using this griller for about a month. I picked a silver color because I have read some reviews that said the red paint starts to fall off after few repeated uses. Regarding the stickiness, I shallowly spray PAM oil over the plates before every use, with that done, the food does not stick at all except some left over juices which can be washed out by a sponge provided from the same manufacturer.
